AI Innovation
As the Faculty Communications Manager for Science and Engineering at Queen Mary University of London, I'm privileged to get to tell a lot of amazing stories about new AI technologies.
I am part of the collaborative senior management team that steers the university's brand campaigning strategy. These two videos were among the top performing content in our campaign last year.
I also support and encourage academics to become well-known media commentators. For example, Cédric John, our Professor of Data Science for the Environment and Sustainability is one to watch – he just published a paper using AI to identify and classify deep sea organisms, signed an agreement to help Sierra Leone with climate change adaptation, and was recently in the FT commenting on Google's NeuralGCM, a climate modelling breakthrough.
What connects all these stories is that they're about the potential of AI to speed up solutions to the world's biggest challenges. I find that very inspiring.
